About Greeters

The focus of the greeter ministry is to provide all who walk through the doors of our parish with a warm and welcoming first and lasting impression. We do this by opening doors, smiling and greeting guests as they arrive, providing assistance, and answering questions.

Anyone attending Seton Parish should feel that it makes a difference that they are there and that someone is happy to see them. Remember that your smile may be the only one they see that day and simply saying, "hello" or "welcome" creates a warm interaction that might just make a lonely person's day or possibly inspire kindness to others.

Your willingness to serve as a Greeter reflects not only response to your Baptismal call to serve the people of God, but a commitment to Christ as you share in the welcoming, teaching, and leading aspects of the church. You offer hospitality! Your willingness to commit to a schedule and arriving on time to your assigned Mass further reflects your commitment.

Parishioners can join the greeter ministry at any time and there are no formal meetings. You can specify which Mass time is most convenient for you, and we simply request that you arrive 20 - 30 minutes prior to the beginning of Mass.
