Ministry Search

Seton is one of the few in the Columbus area that has perpetual adoration. We invite you to spend an hour inside our beautiful Eucharistic Chapel praying before the Blessed Sacrament. Our purpose is to glorify our Lord through adoration seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.

In Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW), the children hear the exact same readings being heard by the adults, but from a lectionary written at a simpler level. We are always looking for volunteers to help teach the Word of God to the children of our parish during Mass.

Altar Server

The primary role of the altar server is to assist the priest in the celebration of the liturgy during Mass. Servers carry out specific actions and set an example for the congregation by active participation in the liturgy.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC)

The role of this ministry is to assist in the distribution of the Holy Eucharist during Masses.  This ministry both invites and challenges, for when we place the bread or cup into the outstretched hands of our assemblies, we not only invite them to receive the Body and Blood of Christ, we challenge them to become it as well.

The greeter ministry is dedicated to making every guest entering our church doors feel warm and welcome.  Opening the doors before Mass, smiling, and greeting each guest is an important way to convey the hospitality that Seton Parish has to offer.

A lector may also be called a reader or proclaimer of the Word at Mass. A lector proclaims the first or second reading and may lead the Prayers of the Faithful.

Musicians play a key role in allowing the congregation to worship through song.  Seton Parish offers a wide variety of ways to serve in this role. Opportunities include vocal, instrumental, youth and adult bands, cantoring, and more.

Ushers are among the key ministers of hospitality, making the members of the assembly feel welcome and comfortable as they gather each Sunday

Scheduling for most of these ministries are handled using the Ministry Scheduler system.
